Africans and African residents
This category includes African citizens and foreigners residing in Africa on a permanent basis and are entitled to a discounted permit at 500$. Requirements to present include a passport for Africans, a visa on minimum 4 consecutive months, diplomatic card or a resident card.
Conference discounted gorilla permit.
Rwanda is known to be a premier destination for meeting, incentives, conference and exhibition. Participants to an official conference in Rwanda is entitled to a discount of 30% on gorilla permit
Low season gorilla permit discount
When visiting Rwanda in the law season which goes from November to May and a visitor has 2 nights in another National Park other than the volcanoes is entitled to a 30% discount.
The Rwandans and East African Citizens: these Rwandan citizens and the citizens of countries of east Africa namely: Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, Southern Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The citizens from these countries are entitled to a discount of 200$ permit.
This is worth to note that apart from the conference discounted permit, the rest are only valid for the law season from November to May.
