Accessing Nyungwe National Park

Nyungwe National Park is about a 5-hour drive from Kigali, Rwanda’s capital. The park is easily accessible by road, with organized tours available to simplify travel for visitors. Alternatively, Nyungwe can be reached by a 30-minute flight from Kigali International Airport, operated by RwandAir, the national carrier. Flights depart every morning at 7:00 AM and return at 8:00 AM. Additionally, helicopter transfers are available to and from other national parks, including Akagera National Park and Volcanoes National Park.
